I always have the BEST time working with other creative and color-loving souls, so when Kim from KLO events (who designed this killer purple and orange disco wedding) asked me to photograph a styled editorial wedding with her, I jumped at the chance!
I got to explore a beautiful venue in Menlo Park with a European feel and lots of greenery and gardens (shoutout to the Allied Arts Guild), test out my drone (see the last photo below), and meet/collaborate with some wonderful fellow creatives and vendors (all listed below)! I also explored the idea of bringing colorful backdrops outside for a different look, and we found the perfect shades of light blue and lavender to add pop of color to some of the details and portraits. 🩵💜 Plus I loved the idea of adding a custom fragrance bar to a wedding day and the lavender gown was SO different and fun to photograph! I wore a colorful dress on my own wedding day and I’m always excited when my couples choose color too!

Here’s a bit about the inspiration behind the photoshoot as told by Kim from KLO Events:
Inspired by the delicate beauty of nature and the art of fragrance, this Botanical Garden Romance editorial wedding was designed to be an immersive, multi-sensory experience. Set at the historic Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park, the editorial seamlessly blended lush floral installations, vintage-inspired décor, and a bespoke perfume cart to evoke an atmosphere of elegance and enchantment.
At the heart of the design was the Swirl Works perfume cart, the primary source of inspiration for the shoot. Adorned with cascading blooms in soft pastels, peach, blush, and golden hues, the cart introduced a unique interactive element—allowing the scent to become an integral part of the wedding experience. This concept extended throughout the editorial, creating a harmonious blend of florals and fragrances that engaged both sight and smell.
The sweetheart table and reception tablescape featured an exquisite layering of vintage Limoges china, blue glass goblets, and delicate floral-patterned menus, all accented with romantic taper candles and soft linen napkins. The floral arrangements were designed to feel organic and abundant, incorporating garden roses, ranunculus, delphiniums, and climbing greenery to create the feeling of a table nestled within an overgrown garden.
For the bride, the Anne Barge “Inman” gown provided the perfect balance of timeless elegance and modern sophistication, with a structured corset bodice and silk magnolia jacquard fabric that mirrored the garden-inspired aesthetic. The beauty look was kept soft and ethereal, with loose waves and a natural, dewy makeup finish.
This editorial was more than just a visual masterpiece—it was a celebration of romance, sensory beauty, and timeless wedding inspiration. Designed for the modern couple who appreciates elegance with an artistic touch, this editorial reimagines the wedding experience as something deeply personal, immersive, and unforgettable.
