Caroline and Avi are both in creative fields (she’s an artist and engineer and he’s a game designer), so when planning their wedding they wanted to include lots of DIY and artistic elements along with a game experience for their guests! And oh my goodness what an experience it was!
From her blue and white dress (which she designed and made herself), to his tie with their photo on the inside (which she also made), their vow books and signage (again, Caroline’s work), ketubah, cocktails, cake, and giant “Guestball Machine;” everything was made by the couple or someone close to them. How special is that?!
Along with the Guestball Machine where guests could drop notes into a Plinko style game which would print them personalized receipts like jokes and fun facts, cocktail hour also included custom cocktails (with rainbow salt on one!), and a roaming magician performing magic tricks! During the reception guests were surprised when the couple donned gold jackets and were suddenly in the middle of a game show where they had to compete with other tables on a video style trivia game!
Oh, and mid reception the bride snuck away to change outfits and have a quick haircut given by her friends! What?! How cool is that?!
I could go on and on about the beauty, energy, and creativity that was Caroline and Avi’s wedding, but why don’t you just have a peek below and see the magic for yourself? Enjoy! (Can you find the fun GIF we made for them during golden hour portraits?)
