I met Jeanne and Brian last year when I photographed their engagement session in San Francisco. They were so fun together and their genuine happiness made it easy to capture the love and playfulness between them! So you can imagine I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding this year!
For their intimate wedding ceremony they chose the 4th floor of the iconic San Francisco City Hall, which is absolutely my favorite place in all of city hall because of the large windows with natural light streaming in. You definitely can’t find a more grand location for the price (it seriously looks like a palace)! Their reception was held at The Commissary in the Presidio, where they had the whole place to enjoy the evening with all of their family and friends! If you never thought about it before, renting out an entire restaurant is a really great way to host a group of people after your wedding (and you can be sure you’ll get amazing food)! I’m seeing more people do this lately, especially with all the great restaurants in San Francisco and the Bay Area in general!
But ultimate creativity points go to the getting ready locations: Brian treated his guys to a hip San Francisco barbershop experience at Peoples, complete with a real old school shave and beers. And even though Jeanne’s AirBnB canceled at the last minute, we ended up with a great spot for her getting ready photos that had the perfect light and a color scheme to go with her wedding details! How lucky is that?! Keep scrolling to see a glimpse of the day and all of the fun that encompassed the start of Jeanne and Brian’s marriage!
