Oh San Francisco! Your foggy summer and sunny fall is confusing and makes it feel like time stands still. But after 10 years in the Bay, I’ve gotten used to the chilly summers and the way that Karl the Fog rolls in in to greet us in the early morning and late evening (yes, the fog has a name!). Around here we live with sweaters, coats, and scarves in our cars, and we rarely leave the house without an extra layer. Even so, when we scheduled Jeanne & Brian’s engagement session, we were hoping for that beautiful golden hour glow! But per usual, Karl the Fog showed up in true San Francisco Style! But you know what? I think it added a wonderful romantic and mystical quality to their engagement photos! Take a look and let me know what you think!
Jeanne & Brian were so easy to photograph! Their connection is so evident and their smiles are infectious! And guess what? Jeanne’s parents were the ones to connect them! You know he has to be a great guy when your parents want you to meet!
For their engagement session, we spent the evening wandering through North Beach and may have even stopped traffic once or twice for the right shot! 😉 Then it was down to Pier 7 with it’s beautiful lights and stunning city view! It always makes me happy when a couple chooses a location with meaning to them, because it evokes real emotions and adds a special quality to the photoshoot and photos!
Jeanne & Brian- Thank you for braving the chilly San Francisco evening with me and for sharing your story and memories along the way! I wish you many adventures, cozy nights together, and a lifelong marriage spent growing and learning together! And of course, I hope you love your photos! 🙂
