This fall wedding at Beltane Ranch in Glen Ellen California was such a special one! Grace and Strother have a beautiful love story, and their sophisticated nod to a fall harvest was perfectly incorporated through elegant decor and thoughtful details.
The pale yellow southern style home with a large wrap-around porch, scattered bud vases filled with wildflowers, pops of color with fall fruits, bridesmaid floral cuffs in place of bouquets, rustic wood head table with fallen leaves from the surrounding canopy, and simple spreading ancient oak tree as the ceremony backdrop made for an absolutely stunning fall wedding day! (Not to mention the pure joy and deep connection that these two share!) And I can’t talk about Beltane Ranch without mentioning the free-range chickens (you’ll see some of them in the photos wandering around the ceremony and reception) and longhorn cows that live on the property!
Grace and Strother have a deep connection with Northern California wine country, and Beltane Ranch in particular. They’re both from the south and they went to college together in Tennessee. Apparently they knew of each other and both had crushes on each other, though neither one of them knew it at the time! He would even walk a certain route to class so he could pass her!
One day she saw he was on a wine country trip with his mom and she sent him a message about how beautiful it was and she hoped he was having a good trip, and he messaged her back inviting her on a date to talk about it. The rest is history, as they say! They’ve traveled to wine country many times since, and they were even engaged at Beltane Ranch under the exact same trees where they said their wedding vows and celebrated with family and friends! They hope to live in Northern California’s wine country one day, so this location was a nod to their southern roots and history as a couple, while also looking toward their possible future!
