If you’re familiar with my work, you know that I’m all about color and whimsy! (See here, here, and here.) I’m really drawn to clean lines, pops of color, and fun details, much like you can see all over Palm Springs. I even had my own branding session down in Palm Springs!
But here’s what I’ve been thinking: why should southern California have all the fun?! Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area isn’t known for that same colorful aesthetic, but I really wanted to bring that feel up to the Bay!
So I enlisted the help of Elise from Brannan Events to help bring the vision to life! Together we created a fully vegan, eco friendly, colorful, creative, and fun editorial at one of my favorite venues in the Bay Area – Blanco Urban Venue in San Jose. Their clean white walls and beautiful architectural lines were the perfect backdrop for a pop of color and whimsy!
I really wanted to do something a bit different with the details, so we took a bit of a commercial approach to styling the invitation suite (think a vertical non-flatlay approach!) and drinks, and we also incorporated a unique double exposure image in camera!
