Amelia and Will told me that they envisioned a fun pool party vibe for their summer wedding, so you know I was hooked from the start! Their venue was a sprawling ranch (Gardener Ranch) in Carmel Valley with a large pool near the center of the property and multiple buildings, trees, and beautiful spaces scattered around. I loved how each spot was sort of hidden from view so that it was easy to take photos in different parts of the property without everyone seeing, and guests could have a surprise moment when they moved around during the different parts of the day. The epic tree at the ceremony site was definitely a centerpiece which we came back to during golden hour portraits.

The baby blue and summer tones of coral, peach, pink, and yellow were such a fun summer color palette and I absolutely adored their use of fruit for a pop of color! Amelia and Will are huge wildlife fans (read more about that and check out their engagement session here), so the addition of animals into their decor (table markers and signage) was such a cute and personal touch! One of my favorite moments was when they watered a small lemon tree together during their ceremony, because that tree will be planted at their house and grow along with their marriage. 💛

These two are not only the kindest and sweetest couple, but they also know how to party and have a great time! (Peep those party shoes at the end of the night!) The black and white tiles on the dance floor added such a fun and retro feel to the dance party too!
