If you don’t get all the portraits you want on your wedding day, why not get dressed up and do it again?! Wedding portraits, that is…not the whole wedding day! 😉 It’s a great excuse to wear that dress one more time, and a fun way to celebrate an anniversary! You could also incorporate a location that’s very different from your wedding venue to add some variety!
Kyle and Elise had an outdoor spring wedding in Palm Springs, and it not only rained on their wedding day, but it SNOWED as well! Guests donned ponchos and most of the couple’s portraits included umbrellas! Since the wet and cold weather wasn’t exactly the best recipe for those gorgeous outdoor portraits that Elise had envisioned, for their 6 month anniversary Kyle surprised her with a photo tour of San Francisco to take more portraits! Husband of the year, right?!
We started our journey at San Francisco City Hall with it’s marble and gold grandeur, then wandered through the outdoor architecture at the Palace of Fine Arts, and ended with a quiet stroll on a secluded beach!
I love how I was able to spend time getting to know them as we drove around the busy city, and I also love the variety of photos that these different locations allowed! Elise’s cathedral length veil was perfect for the grand staircase at city hall and the gorgeous windows! But I have to say that my absolute favorite photos from the day are from the pier!
