You probably already know by now that I’m in love with color and fun, whimsical details; it’s what makes me happy, and I try to surround myself with all things happy! 🙂 And you may also know that I got married last year and have been sharing some of the unique vendors and wedding planning ideas that I’ve found along the way. So when I was invited to partner with Basic Invite, I knew that it would be a perfect fit! From all things wedding, to parties, announcements, holiday cards, and stationery; they have so many fun, colorful, and creative products!
The first thing that I noticed about Basic Invite is that they aren’t basic at all! One of my favorite things is that there are so many different color options that go way beyond your typical color palette. Plus you can literally customize every single color on your product! While I wish that we had found this site before ordering all of our own wedding invites and thank you cards, I went ahead and ordered some of my favorite products with our wedding info anyway so that I could get the full experience. Here are some of the main things that I love about Basic Invite:
Unique Products
They have unique ideas for weddings like these save the date photo magnets and custom wedding coasters. They also have all in one send and seal wedding invitations, which have an RSVP that can be easily detached and sent, as well as guest addresses printed on the front so envelopes aren’t needed!
Also, each of their wedding products has an entire matching set to go with it, so if you find a save the date magnet that you like, they’ll also show you the rest of the matching collection that has a wedding invitation, wedding website (yup, that too!), RSVP cards, place cards, dinner menus, thank you cards, stickers, and pretty much everything else you could think of or need for your wedding!
Above is an example of a wedding invitation with its matching save the date magnet (of course you can choose what colors you want and customize everything about it), and below are a few different save the date magnets that I liked. They come with their own envelope and are large enough to look great on a fridge, and thin enough to send easily in the mail without extra postage. There are also lots of options for including a photo on the magnet if you want.
Lots of Modern Color Choices
Probably my favorite thing about Basic Invite is that they have 180 colors to choose from when customizing your invites, and you can literally change the color of every part of their products! For example, in the cactus invite below, I changed the color of each of the cacti, as well as both of the colors on the flowers. That’s something that I haven’t seen before and it was actually a lot of fun to customize everything (and aren’t the cacti cute?)!
Samples
One of the best features if you’re deciding between a few different options is that you can order a sample of each one. They let you literally order just one invite, one magnet, one coaster, etc. Then you can make the decision after you physically hold the product. Definitely worth doing if you’re going to be ordering a lot of invites or products and want to compare different options in person. I have literally never seen this, and of course it makes perfect sense!
I loved the fun and casual vibe of the invite below! This would also be an easy one to change the colors to match your wedding (which I did).
This invite below is probably one that Brandon and I would have used for our wedding last year if we knew of this site! It has a perfect minimalist mountain vibe (we had a small wedding in the mountains). I really loved the stickers that match this invitation too! I ordered a bunch of them and we’ll be using them to seal our wedding thank you notes.
Extras
A few more great things that you can get with Basic Invite are free wedding website and free address collection service that will help you to collect addresses for your guests and then will print them right on the envelope for free! (Yes to saving time, especially when you have a million other things to be thinking about!)
Additionally, I have to note that Basic Invite has so many other products and aren’t just for weddings! Of course there are invites and products for other types of parties and events (as well as holiday cards), but I also found some fun stationary that I’m going to use for my business, and I found some really cute business cards as well. They have the cutest icons (see the dumbbell below? Who knew a dumbbell could be cute?), and clear business cards are an option that I’ve never seen before! Definitely a way to stand out!
One last thing to note is that when ordering your products, plan for a little extra shipping time (7-11 days). When my samples arrived, they were packaged well and came with a brochure that showed different color and foil options so you could see them side by side.
