The rain this past winter has brought some incredible wildflowers! Seriously, if you haven’t gotten outside for a hike yet this spring, you NEED to go! How often do we get this much rain? Umm…never! So make time to get outdoors this spring and you’ll be sooo glad you did! When I went scouting for photoshoot locations for this beautiful family I had a different location in mind. But when I got there the landscape had changed so much in 6 months that it wasn’t ideal anymore. So I wandered down the road a bit and ended up at Rodeo Beach. I’ve been to this beach many times before, but I’ve never seen the hillside so beautiful and alive! But the truth is that you really wouldn’t notice all this beauty from the parking lot. You actually have to walk down to the very end of the beach for this reward! I’ve said it over and over again, but you really have to get out there and just wander to find the best spots! And this one was perfect for this growing family! I just love how the colors they chose really stand out among the flowers!
These are seriously some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet! I’m so thankful that we were able to spend this beautiful morning together, playing in the sand and frolicking in the spring wildflowers! (Though truth be told, they are a bit more prickly than you might think, so there was a little less frolicking and a little more picking and smelling flowers) 🙂
This is the face you get when they’re looking at the woman they both adore! So sweet!
Isn’t she stunning?!
I can’t resist a bear hug photo! My grandfather was always a hugger. One of his sayings (of which he had many!) was “give me a hug and don’t cheat!” I try to incorporate a bit of him into every photoshoot with a giant bear hug photo! 🙂
Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your precious memories! I can’t wait to meet baby #2!
